I haven’t posted since July 10th which is over a month now. I have been busy getting ready for school (since September 6th is the first day of school). I’ll try to post more often hopefully
Pixie News Contest Reminder
In celebration of Pixie News’ one year anniversary, I’d like to announce a contest.
Running from today to July 31st, you can enter by emailing me an edit of your choice. The only criteria for the edit is that it must be Pixie Hollow related. It can be a fairy, sparrow man, animal friend, meadow scene, or anything else you decide! You can get bonus points if your edit is also related to the Pixie Postings or Pixie News.
Winners will be announced August 4.
I can’t wait to see the edits you guys send me! 🙂
Rose’s DIYS #1 (Flexible Whiteboard)
Hey pixies! I have a new blog series for you. Rose’s DIYS!
So, today we’re going to make a Flexible Whiteboard.
Supplies Needed:
- Scissors
- Plastic Bag (or anything that’s clear plastic like packaging)
- Index Card
- Tape
- Whiteboard Marker and Eraser
Step 1:
Take your index card and place it on the plastic. Measure how much you need. Then, cut it. Always make sure you have a bit more space on the sides so you can fold the extra plastic onto the back.
Step 2:
Take the cut plastic and place it onto the index card. Get your tape ready, and start folding the extra plastic onto the back. To prevent any extra plastic from sticking out on the sides, you can fold the plastic like if you were wrapping a present. Then, tape the plastic down. Tape will be easier to use with plastic, since glue might slide a lot on plastic.
Here’s the final product! (don’t mind my couch, it’s very very linty. but it isn’t dirty. so don’t think i’m putting my kindle fire on a dirty surface lol)
It’s really easy to write on, and erase!
The good thing about this whiteboard is that it’s flexible and thin, so you can carry it around with you easily. You can slide it into a pocket or folder. Make sure you don’t bend it! I thought it was a great idea if you wanted a label on one of your notebooks or folders, you could just tape or glue it onto something, and tada! Instant label! If you start using it for something else, you can erase the words on the label and put new words! So, you can reuse the label each time. It can also be helpful for quick notes, like writing down your homework or shopping list.
Pixie Outfit Edits #3
In the last post, I gave you a hint to what this outfit was based on. All of you guessed it right, it was a bee!
I decided to make my own custom wings for this outfit. I added a black choker and some black bracelets.
The hint for next outfit… well… there isn’t a hint! I’m going to make it secret this time. Next post will be on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I revamped my blog!

Pixie Outfit Edits #2 (Throwback Thursday Edition)
So, in my last post, most of you pixies voted for outfit edits, so here it is! But wait, this post is a bit different. I’m going to show an older edit of mine from 2015, since it’s Thursday. Throwback Thursday time!
I’ve never showed this on any of my blogs (My WordPress or my former Blogger blog)
This one! Some of you may have noticed it in my Pixie Pictures, but it wasn’t clarified that it was an old edit. I sadly don’t have the transparent version on my computer right now, but here is the picture of it! I made it flower and fire themed, with fire like colors and a flower headband. I also made some custom wings to go along with it.
Here’s a hint for the next Pixie Outfit Edits post, it is yellow with stripes. Can you guess what it is based off of?

Okay, so I have many ideas, but I’m not sure which one to pick. I’m going to let you decide:

I’ve done the first 3 choices but I haven’t done a book collection post. This is not a book haul post, but a collection of all the chapter books I currently own.

The America Library of Poetry would like to publish your poem “Nature is Nice!” in a special book of student poetry entitled Accomplished. Scheduled for release in the fall, this particular compilation is generating a lot of interest as it will feature only a very select cross-section of this year’s submissions.

Prior to general release, The America Library of Poetry has arranged to make available to you, an initial “Author’s Copy” of Accomplished at a greatly discounted price.
Yes, if you heard it right pixies, my poem is getting published into a book! I can’t believe it! Here’s the story behind this. In class, we were able to make our own poems to submit to the contest. We submitted them in May, and now I got this letter after school ended. Sadly the book is only coming out in September. Plus, it mentions that I get an exclusive copy of the book, but it says I will possibly get it only in December 😦 Such a long time from now!
However, I am really excited! I can’t believe my poem won one of the spots in the book! This is basically one step further in me trying to become a poet/writer. I’ve always wanted to become a poet/writer, and here is an accomplishment for that!

More old diary entries…
Wow, I found another diary.. It’s a bit more newer than my 2nd grade one but it’s still old. This was when I was in 3rd grade.
Random entry:
January 13th
Today we took the NWEA test in the computer lab. It was the reading test with 45 questions. Next we are taking the math test. I finished the test in 22 minutes and I read this book. I finished it and around 4 people were still taking the test and I felt like I was going to sweat my butt off. I kept flipping to random pages and reading them again. 5 minutes later Adna asked me to go to the office with her and I did. It was good but about 4 minutes later we were back in the lab. That time I wished the computer lab was on the last floor. It is actually on the 2nd floor. The office is on the 1st. Soon the slowpoke finished her test. We got up and went back to the classroom. We had a art class sub and she read us a book on MLK. We had to draw a picture. Soon our recess coach came. We had free time. We went to lunch and I ate. Some damn kindergarten child spilled chocolate milk on his/her seat and dropped a banana in it. Bananas and chocolate milk isn’t a very great combination. We got back in the classroom and we did more MLK stuff. Our teacher was giving us some brain hurting home work but she realized we took a test today and it would be too much for us. So we got no home work. We went home and I already got my new boots covered in fluffy snow. Anyways, I have to go now. Bye!
Well that was a weird entry. Especially because I called someone a slowpoke in it and I said the word “damn”. These old diaries keep getting weirder and weirder.

My Room (almost finished…)
Here we go with another post about my room.
So I just rearranged it today. The last step is to paint it! I won’t be painting it that soon, but I’ll be painting it around later this month or in July. My original walls are pink, but I want to make them like a light blue.
Time for some pictures! (taken by my horrible Kindle Fire… the pictures that thing takes are bad quality)
In the first picture, there are my purses and some of my other bags. I also have my old backpack that I’m going to throw away soon since I’m going to get a new one for next school year.
In the second picture, there’s an upper view of my supplies shelf and my book shelf.
In the third picture, there’s a lower view of my two shelves.
In the fourth picture, right above my pillow, there’s my calendar, a pillow on top (barely seen but at the very top of the picture), two letters representing some of my initials, and a small poster I made with a quote. I’m still working on this part kind of, since I have other stuff to add.
In the last picture, that gray and white thing is my cat just sleeping there curled up in a ball. They were going crazy on my bed so that’s why it’s not made. Yes, I still do have stuffed animals on my bed, lol.
